RAIN or SHINE – Last Chance for Muffins!!!!!

IMG_6835

Hey Everybody!!!  Well last Monday was another great success!! We sold all our muffins and raised over $400!!!!  Amazing isn’t it?  God gives and idea to two young boys excited about adopting brothers and/or sisters.  Then He uses all of you to provide support, encouragement, and prayers.  Just from warm, homemade muffins!  God works in many ways and many of them are not obvious to us.  May we all see the little ways that God is working in our lives each day.

This Monday, May 22nd, is our last Muffin Monday for this year!

Since the last Monday in May is Memorial Day and many of you are out of town, hosting family, or sleeping in since there isn’t any work or school, we have found that we don’t see many of you on Memorial Day.  Therefore, tomorrow will be the last Monday that we are selling muffins in 2017.  No matter the weather we’ll be out selling our muffins and would really enjoy seeing you too!  Last year we sold out in the pouring rain so let’s see if we can do it again!!!  There will be an awning so your muffins will stay warm & dry! 😉

Some extra tidbits you should know about our muffins.  The eggs we use to make our muffins are all local and all the proceeds of our purchasing them went to support Child Evangelism Fellowship in NE Wyoming.  We made our Honey Cinnamon Muffins with local honey from Tongue River Honey.  See, buying our muffins has an impact in many areas! You are supporting our adoptions, local ministry, and local business’s, so come on down one more time (or maybe even for the first time) tomorrow morning and get some warm, fresh baked muffins!

We Sold Out!

Our first Muffin Monday in May was a wonderful success! I woke up at 4:15 am and got the boys up at 4:45 am in order to get to the church early enough to bake the muffins. We arrived at the church just after 5 am and were greeted by the joyful smile & hug of our dear friend who came to help us bake.  I tucked the boys into their sleeping bags so they could get a little more rest; one fell back to sleep & one was ready to go!  By 6:30 we were setting up our table outside, putting up balloons, & bringing out warm, fresh baked muffins!  The boys and I took our positions at the table, as well as stood by the roadside to wave good morning to those passing by and encourage them to stop in for a warm breakfast treat.

After our first few customers, Sheridan Media stopped by to interview us and help get the word out.  You can listen to the interview here: http://www.sheridanmedia.com/news/muffin-mondays-may70792.  Thank you Judy, for taking the time to hear and share our story!  After a few more customers I noticed a man coming across the street, he said it was his birthday and he bought 5 muffins for himself. While boxing them up for him, we got to sing Happy Birthday to him! So much fun, we had!  There was not a steady stream of customers over the two hours and there were some long stretches where we didn’t have anyone stopping.  We continued to take turns waving to those passing by and unbeknownst to me, one of our sons was walking around talking to God.  Shortly after, we had many groups of people stop to buy muffins! Our son was so thankful & gave praise out loud to our Heavenly Father!  It was so encouraging and convicting for me to see the faith of a child lived out…again.  Luke 18:17 “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” NASB

We had people stopping all the way up to the very end, even when we were packing up.  At the end of the morning we had sold all but 4 ( I let the boys have 2 muffins each as we neared 9 am) of our 130 muffins and raised just over $250.00!!! For muffins!! I am still amazed at the help & support of family, friends, and our community.  The kindness & generosity everyone showed, the joy of my sons (and myself!) even though we woke up so early, and everyone who waved and gave a smile truly made it a memorable morning. Thank You.

We are quickly making more muffins and will have some different flavors, so be sure to come see us next week to try a new flavor!  We’ll be making around 160 muffins this week so feel free to invite family, friends, and co-workers to visit us at our second Muffin Monday in May!

We’re gearing up for our Muffin Mondays in May Fundraiser!

While enjoying muffins during breakfast oneIMG_1287 day our boys thought we should sell warm muffins out our kitchen window to passers-by as a fundraiser for our adoptions. We discussed it and decided that selling them at our church would be better since they have a parking lot and a busier street. So with great excitement they are ready to have Muffin Mondays in May!  Please stop by and see us to buy 1, 2, 12, or more muffins! The boys would love to see you!!  If you would like you can also pre-order your flavor and quantity, just call us at 655-5526. We are making fresh baked Zucchini Bread, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Honey Cinnamon, Vanilla with Crumb Topping, and Pancake & Sausage Muffins. YUM!!
