Throughout the last year we have been made aware of multiple birth mothers with different situations. Our family profile book, which is a photo book about our family, has been shown to each expecting mother. So far they have chosen other families to adopt their child, chosen to parent their child, or made other choices for who their child will go to. We continue to be amazed at the patience we are all having, because we know the Lord holds us all in His hands along with these birth moms and their babies. We absolutely wonder when we will be chosen and who will it be that chooses us…we are so excited to get to know them! Riley and I have had a couple of dreams which peak our curiosity. It is fun to share the details and talk about what might be: a girl or a boy, twins or one, siblings, now or later. It has been 14 months since our paperwork was completed for this adoption and we just completed our update to keep our paperwork current and ready for an adoption to be completed. The adoption paperwork is good for one year and then it expires so each year updated paperwork, fingerprints, reports, etc. are needed. It has been a humbling experience and blessing to know of these mothers and the challenges they face. To pray for them, to hear of their courage, to know their selflessness, and to understand their grief. With great praise we watch God provide families for these little ones over and over again. We have been invited into a most precious space and we are grateful for our Father’s invitation!

After much prayer we met the agency God had planned for us all along…Embraced By Grace. They are a Christian agency in Florida that does wonderful Kingdom work for orphans and we have been blessed every step of the way in working with them. We completed our application, home study, fingerprint & background checks, parent training, and family profile book by August of 2013. Now we get to sit back and enjoy praying for the child or children and their family that our Heavenly Father has forever planned to be a part of our family. We look forward to meeting them and even our young boys have amazed us with their patience to wait for the Lord’s timing to bring them their new sibling(s)! When there are any new developments we will post them here so follow our blog by clicking on the links to the right or check back in often.
