It is uncertain!
We received an update last week that our birth mother’s due date had been “revised”… back to mid-August. God is so funny!
We do not know when this little fella will arrive but we know who does!
Psalm 31:15 My times are in Your hand…
At this point we laugh at the changes and differences as we go along this path. The changes that God already knew as we made our plans, purposed our days, and had our “logical” assumptions. I am all the more understanding of how to live in this day and to leave all the days to come up to Him. It is so wonderful to surrender our days, future, and lives to our Heavenly Father. This brings huge peace into our hearts and home that we are not busying ourselves with what we see. Rather we follow in faith, knowing that He has a good and perfect plan for us all. (Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.) How freeing it is that this life is not up to me to make it!! I can’t make it work and I don’t have to…Jesus Christ can and faithfully does make this life work. He doesn’t make it perfect according to the world’s standards, He doesn’t make it easy, He doesn’t pour in the riches. He does hold our hand through it all and brings us through to it’s end, He never leaves us on our own, He makes it perfect to His eternal standards, He ensures we always have what we need, and He works it all together for good because we love Him! (Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.)
Yes, and yes again!
Your words are so wonderfully true and needed in my life right know so thank you for a timely and powerful reminder. Love to see your updates and your faithfulness to God’s calling in your lives. What a role model you are to me Shannon… 🙂
Thank you, Betsy, I so love watching how God speaks to us through each other!
P.S. I still wish you lived closer! Miss you!!
