It is uncertain!
We received an update last week that our birth mother’s due date had been “revised”… back to mid-August. God is so funny!
We do not know when this little fella will arrive but we know who does!
Psalm 31:15 My times are in Your hand…
At this point we laugh at the changes and differences as we go along this path. The changes that God already knew as we made our plans, purposed our days, and had our “logical” assumptions. I am all the more understanding of how to live in this day and to leave all the days to come up to Him. It is so wonderful to surrender our days, future, and lives to our Heavenly Father. This brings huge peace into our hearts and home that we are not busying ourselves with what we see. Rather we follow in faith, knowing that He has a good and perfect plan for us all. (Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.) How freeing it is that this life is not up to me to make it!! I can’t make it work and I don’t have to…Jesus Christ can and faithfully does make this life work. He doesn’t make it perfect according to the world’s standards, He doesn’t make it easy, He doesn’t pour in the riches. He does hold our hand through it all and brings us through to it’s end, He never leaves us on our own, He makes it perfect to His eternal standards, He ensures we always have what we need, and He works it all together for good because we love Him! (Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.)
After dinner our sons drew the winners for the Garden & Summer Fun Baskets and the winners have been notified.
The Winners Are:
Katie & Maureen
It is so much fun to tell someone that they are a winner & to deliver their prize!! Our youngest son would have preferred a small gathering though. I think he was hoping for more of a celebration for the winners!
A special thank you to the businesses and individuals that donated items and services to make this fundraiser possible!!!
In our blog post about the due date being changed to June, I had mentioned that all our plans had been dropped.
I want to clarify that “all our plans were dropped” means that the Carnival & Silent Auction on June 27th has been postponed. We will probably do something in late fall or winter. Until we get home with our new son and get settled, we won’t be able to pick a date for the Carnival.
Many things for the Carnival were already put together and it is going to be a spectacular, fun time for families so please stay tuned and we’ll let you know when the Carnival will take place as soon as we know!
This past Saturday, we had a beautiful morning to sit outside and eat delicious pancakes and sausage! Perkins pancakes and sausage are good but eating them outside made them awesome!! The Sheridan Kiwanis were there with there big griddle and professional pancake flippers. There were many family & friends there throughout the morning to volunteer with set-up and clean-up. We enjoyed visiting with everyone who stopped by and our boys were extremely excited to serve!!!! They served drinks, got refills, and helped people carry their plates to their seats. What a joy & blessing they are to us!! We raised $537!!!!! We also got to share the blessings with the Homeless Shelter and NSI, by giving any extra pancakes and sausage to them! “It is more blessed to give than to receive!!” Acts 20:35
Thank You to all our volunteers, Perkins, Sheridan Kiwanis, and McDonalds!!! God used you all to make a wonderful thing happen!

See you Saturday!!
Today our world was totally changed in a wonderful way!!
We received a call from our attorney who stated that she needed to “revisit” something with us. The information we had received that our birth mother was due in August was not correct.
She is actually due in June!!!
All of our plans were dropped in an instant and we are now so very delighted to know we will be meeting our new son & brother sooner than later!! We are so thankful that God has blessed us to be on this journey of adoption and that He has orchestrated it all so that we will not have to wait to meet him!! He knows our weakness with patience 😉
Psalm 31: 14-15a But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand…
